Lobby & Map Voting
Most minigames on Dyhntastic.net use a shared lobby system before a round starts: a countdown, and a vote to decide which map gets played.
Lobby and countdown
When you join, you're placed in a waiting lobby together with other players. Once enough players are present, a countdown starts. If the lobby fills up, the countdown speeds up so a full game can start sooner. If too few players remain, the countdown resets.
Map Voting
While waiting in the lobby, you usually get a Map Voting item (often called "Players" in your hotbar). Right-clicking it opens a menu showing the available maps along with their current vote count.
- You can vote for any available map.
- You can change your vote as long as voting is still open.
- Voting closes in the last few seconds before the round starts.
- The map with the most votes is selected and loaded for the round.
If you want to play a specific map, vote for it early — once voting closes, the result is final.
Some game modes have additional, separate voting (for example loot strength in SkyWars). Those work differently and are explained in the wiki article for that specific minigame.
