Rules
Rules
This English version is provided for your convenience only. The legally binding version of these Rules is the German original (Regelwerk), available at https://dyhntastic.net/rules/. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.
General Rules
The following general rules apply to all Dyhntastic.net services — in particular the Minecraft network, the TeamSpeak server and the Discord server. The service-specific rules in the following sections apply in addition, as do the Terms of Use at https://dyhntastic.net/. In the event of a conflict, the more specific service-specific rules take precedence over the general rules.
§1 Validity, changes and minimum age
- By using a Dyhntastic.net service, the user accepts these Rules and the Terms of Use and undertakes to comply with them.
- In the event of non-compliance, sanctions may be imposed by the Dyhntastic.net server team.
- The Rules may be changed at any time; such changes are binding with immediate effect. It is the user's duty to stay informed about the current version on a regular basis. Ignorance is no excuse for a violation.
- Minimum age: Use of the services requires a minimum age of 13 years. Users between 13 and 15 years of age (i.e. under 16) require the express consent of a legal guardian. Use is not permitted for users under 13 years of age.
§2 Respect and tone
- All users and team members are to be treated respectfully.
- Insults, hate speech, discrimination, threats, sexual innuendo and disrespectful or provocative statements — whether direct or subtle — are prohibited.
- Radicalism in any form, as well as misanthropic, racist, sexist, National Socialist or pornographic content, is strictly prohibited.
- These rules apply equally to text and voice communication, names, tags, statuses, avatars and profile pictures.
§3 Names, avatars and identity
- Users are asked to use the same name as in the game (in-game name) (desired, not mandatory).
- Names, tags, avatars and profile pictures must not contain any insulting, discriminatory content or any content otherwise violating §2, and must not infringe the personal rights of third parties.
- Pretending to be someone else, impersonating team members or well-known persons, as well as nametags such as [Admin] or (admin), are prohibited.
§4 Advertising
Any kind of advertising (e.g. for other servers, streaming accounts, brands, modifications or the sale of accounts) is prohibited without prior arrangement with the server management or an administrator.
§5 Personal data and official channels
The public communication areas (in-game chat, TeamSpeak, Discord) are not intended for the transmission of personal data or for formal requests.
- The public disclosure or solicitation of sensitive personal data is prohibited. This concerns in particular phone numbers, postal addresses, email addresses, IP addresses, passwords or access credentials, payment data, identity documents, as well as private photos or files.
- Disseminating the personal data of other persons without their consent is prohibited.
- No team member will ever ask for passwords or other access credentials. Should this nevertheless occur, it must be reported to an administrator without undue delay (Discord: @DyhnenTv or by email to support@dyhntastic.net).
For matters that require an exchange of data, the following official channels are available exclusively:
- Support: by email to support@dyhntastic.net
- Applications: application form at https://dyhntastic.net/jobs/, application portal at https://apply.dyhntastic.net/ or by email to apply@dyhntastic.net
- Unban requests, bug reports as well as reports of rule violations and team misconduct: preferably via the Guardian portal at https://dyhntastic.net/guardian/; appeals and bug reports alternatively by email to support@dyhntastic.net
- Legal matters and data protection inquiries: by email to info@dyhntastic.net
§6 Voice and text communication
The following rules apply to all voice and text channels (e.g. in-game chat, TeamSpeak, Discord):
- Deliberately disrupting conversations will not be tolerated and may result in a channel kick, server kick or a (temporary) ban.
- Loud background music, persistent disruptive talking, obscene noises or constant static are to be avoided. The microphone is to be muted when necessary — for example when eating or when there is nothing to say.
- Voice changers, soundboards and comparable disruptive tools are not permitted.
- Contributions should be free of repetition and on-topic; repeatedly sending identical or similar content within a short period (spam) is prohibited.
§7 Recording conversations
Recording voice or text conversations is only permitted with the express consent of all participants present. Exceptions are cases in which an administrator has expressly consented, or in which you are the channel admin of a password-protected channel with a clear notice in the channel title.
§8 Attacks on the infrastructure
- Any attack against our servers (e.g. flooding, DDoS attacks) is prohibited and punishable under Sections 303a, 303b of the German Criminal Code (§§ 303a, 303b StGB).
- IP addresses are logged and reported to the authorities in the event of attacks.
- Sending links to fraudulent or malicious websites is prohibited.
§9 Right of instruction of the team
The server team and the administrators have full authority to give instructions. No one is kicked or banned without reason; anyone who does not follow instructions will be warned and, in serious cases, kicked or banned. Team members may kick or ban users if they consider it necessary.
§10 Private disputes
Private misunderstandings and disputes are to be resolved privately and do not belong in the public areas of the services.
§11 Conduct towards team members
Deliberately muting or blocking team members is prohibited.
§12 Identity concealment (VPN/proxy)
- The use of VPNs, proxies or similar means to conceal one's own identity or origin is generally not permitted on any Dyhntastic.net service.
- On the Minecraft network, VPN and proxy connections are technically detected and automatically blocked.
- Whitelisting for the AntiVPN detection is only possible upon request by email to support@dyhntastic.net. Reasons must be provided as to why permanent use of a VPN connection is necessary. The decision on whitelisting is at the discretion of the administration; there is no entitlement to it.
Minecraft
In addition to the General Rules, the following specific rules apply to the Minecraft network.
§1 Sanctions
If players consider a sanction unjust, they have the right to file a one-time request for mitigation and/or reversal of the sanction. Unban or appeal requests should preferably be submitted via the Guardian portal at https://dyhntastic.net/guardian/, or alternatively by email to support@dyhntastic.net (see General Rules §5).
- As a matter of principle, sanctions are only imposed to an appropriate degree and with a corresponding reason.
- Evidence is generally made available only for as long as the duration of a temporary sanction. In the case of a permanent sanction, the evidence is available for one year from the time of the sanction.
- Possible sanctions are: exclusion from the network (ban), exclusion from the chat (mute), resetting of game statistics (stats reset).
§2 Client modifications
- Players may install Minecraft mods on their own; nevertheless, this is discouraged, as smooth gameplay on Dyhntastic.net can then no longer be guaranteed.
- The team is not liable for problems caused by client modifications and cannot provide support for them.
- Any modifications that grant the player a significant advantage are strictly prohibited. Even joining with a prohibited modification already constitutes a rule violation.
§3 Other provisions
- Repeatedly sending identical or similar wording within a short period is prohibited (spam).
- Exploiting bugs is prohibited. Discovered bugs, exploits or security vulnerabilities must be reported without undue delay — preferably via the Guardian portal at https://dyhntastic.net/guardian/, or alternatively by email to support@dyhntastic.net.
- Rule violations by other players (e.g. cheating, griefing, scamming) as well as misconduct by team members (e.g. abuse of permissions or rank) can be reported via the Guardian portal at https://dyhntastic.net/guardian/.
- Minecraft skins with insulting, offensive or National Socialist content are prohibited.
- Intentionally destroying other players' structures (griefing) is prohibited.
- Repeatedly joining and leaving as a premium player in order to kick non-premium players is prohibited.
- Everyone is responsible for their own account. If another person commits a violation using the account, the ban/mute is imposed nonetheless.
- Intentionally playing against your own team (trolling, teamkilling, sabotage) is prohibited.
- Circumventing sanctions (ban evasion, mute evasion) via a second account is prohibited.
- Unauthorized teams (e.g. in BedWars) are prohibited.
- Misleading, offensive or insulting in-game names, clan names/tags, status or pet names are prohibited.
- Untactical spawn killing or spawn trapping is prohibited. Tactical spawn killing/trapping is tolerated for up to 2 minutes.
- Manipulating statistics (boosting) is prohibited.
- The use of automated functions (bots) is prohibited.
- A drastically increased click speed is prohibited.
- Joining with accounts from account lists (hacked, publicly available accounts) is prohibited.
- Building offensive or inappropriate structures (e.g. swastikas) is prohibited.
- Deliberately misleading team members is prohibited.
§4 SMP (Survival Multiplayer)
Claims & minimum distance
- New claims must be at least 100 blocks in a straight line (edge-to-edge) away from existing claims.
- Exceptions only with the express permission of the owners of neighboring claims. Keep written proof (in-game mail or Discord message).
- Violations may lead to a team-enforced unclaim. Repeated violations may lead to a temporary or permanent ban.
Claim expansion & enclosure
- Later expansions must also comply with the 100-block rule.
- Enclosing, walling in or deliberately blocking another claim is prohibited.
Trespassing, theft & griefing
- Griefing is strictly prohibited. This includes destroying/altering builds, farms, redstone or terraforming around bases.
- No theft from containers, item frames or animal pens -- whether claimed or unclaimed.
- Circumventing protections (exploits, glitches, entity tricks) counts as serious griefing.
Neighborhood & etiquette
- Respect the privacy, paths and sightlines of your neighbors. Large builds must not severely disturb nearby bases either visually or acoustically.
- Use signs/markers for shared boundaries, roads or public areas.
PvP, traps & safety
- Where PvP is enabled, mutual consent applies, unless the zone is clearly designated as PvP.
- No teleport, bed or portal traps.
- Combat logging and TP baiting are prohibited.
Farms, redstone & performance
- Lag machines, excessive redstone clocks or deliberately performance-damaging constructions are prohibited.
- Keep entity counts reasonable. The team may impose limits or remove disruptive setups.
- Chunk loading or automation via exploits/bugs is not permitted.
Public infrastructure
- Public roads, nether highways, spawn areas, portals and community farms must not be damaged or blocked.
- Major changes to public infrastructure require the team's approval.
Resource gathering & environment
- No farming/resource gathering in the build world (overworld). Mining, large-scale logging and material gathering are only permitted in: farmworld, nether and world_the_end.
- Avoid excessive landscape disfigurement near other bases.
- Wither fights and other high-risk activities must take place far away from player structures.
- Please close creeper holes in community areas and restore the terrain.
Trade, economy & scams
- Scamming is prohibited; the team may reverse trades and impose sanctions.
- ChestShops and auction-house listings must be clear and truthful; misleading offers may be removed.
Inactivity & claim cleanup
- Long-term inactivity may lead to the removal of claims. Where possible, an attempt is made to contact the owner in advance.
- After 180 days of inactivity, a claim is automatically unclaimed and released for others.
TeamSpeak
In addition to the General Rules (in particular §6 Voice and text communication), the following specific rules apply on the TeamSpeak server.
§1 Channel hopping
Channel hopping (constantly switching between channels) is prohibited and may result in a kick or ban.
§2 AFK
When away, please use the AFK channel or leave TeamSpeak in order to keep slots free for other users.
§3 Music bots and plugins
- Music bots are only permitted in your own channels. In public channels they result in a ban.
- Music bots must not be used as placeholders.
- Other bots and disruptive plugins are not permitted.
Discord
In addition to the General Rules (in particular §6 Voice and text communication), the following specific rules apply on the Discord server.
§1 Text channels
Messages must be relevant to the topic of the respective text channel.
§2 Respect privacy
All users should respect the privacy of others. Admonishing mentions (@username) or intrusive attempts to draw inactive users into conversation are to be refrained from.
