Bingo
Bingo is a team-based race built on top of classic survival gameplay. Up to four teams play simultaneously, each in their own separate world, all working from the same shared 5×5 bingo card of 25 items. Collect, craft, smelt, fish, farm, or loot your way through the card faster than the other teams — the first team to complete a full row, column, or diagonal wins the round.
Teams
Up to four teams play at once (Red, Blue, Green, Yellow). Pick yours in the lobby through the Team Selector compass, where teams are automatically balanced to keep round sizes fair.
Starting a round
A round needs at least 2 players and starts after a 60-second lobby countdown (shortened to 10 seconds with /start, if you have permission). At round start, each team is placed in its own world with comparable starting positions, given Stone Sword, Pickaxe, and Axe to get going quickly, and handed a personal bingo card. Every team plays the same card, but entirely separately — there's no way to interfere with another team's resources, since you're in different worlds. The shared world has a 3,000 block diameter border.
The bingo card
Each round's card mixes 12 Easy items (common, quick to get), 9 Medium items (requiring some crafting, farming, fishing, or exploration), and 4 Hard items (rare or genuinely difficult to obtain) — 25 squares total. A square completes automatically the moment anyone on your team gets the matching item, whether by picking it up, crafting it, smelting it, fishing it, farming it, or pulling it from a container. Completions are announced in chat for everyone to see.
Winning
The first team to complete a full row, column, or diagonal wins immediately. If no team finishes within the 45-minute time limit, the round ends in a draw. After the round ends, there's a short 15-second wrap-up before the server resets or moves on.
Tracking progress
Your personal bingo card item shows the 5×5 grid with colored corner markers indicating which team has completed which square. For a clearer view, /items (or /bingoitems) opens a GUI showing all 25 items, their difficulty, your team's completed squares, and crafting recipes for anything craftable — click an item to see its recipe, with alternate recipes available if more than one exists.
Commands
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
| /items, /bingoitems | Opens the current bingo card as a GUI (during a round). |
| /stats [player] | View your own or another player's Bingo statistics. |
| /spawn | Teleport back to your team's spawn (during a round). |
| /start | Shortens the lobby countdown to 10 seconds (requires permission). |
Spectating
Joining mid-round puts you in spectator mode automatically — you can fly, watch players, view a spectator version of the bingo card, and teleport using a compass, but can't break or place blocks, pick up items, or otherwise interfere. A Nether Star item lets you switch to the next available round.
Rewards
| Action | Reward |
|---|---|
| Joining a round | +15 EXP |
| Completing a square yourself | +5 coins, +8 EXP |
| Per minute played | +1 EXP |
| Winning the round (per team member) | +25 coins, +30 EXP |
Hunger doesn't drain normally, inventory is kept on death (though drops are removed), and dying respawns you at your team spawn — the round stays fast-paced and focused on collecting rather than survival pressure.
Tips
- Split up early — send one teammate mining, another searching for animals, plants, or water, and have someone else prep craftable items, rather than everyone doing the same thing.
- Focus on completing a realistic line rather than chasing every square individually; not all 25 items matter equally once you've picked a row, column, or diagonal to aim for.
- Use /items to check recipes before guessing — for anything craftable, it's faster than trial and error.
- Keep an eye on other teams' progress on your card; if an opponent is one square from bingo, it might be worth switching your own strategy to a faster-completing line.
