ItemChaos

Updated 3 min read

ItemChaos is a fast last-man-standing minigame where every surviving player regularly receives random items — and has to improvise gear, traps, escape routes, or attacks on the spot. Random chaos events on top of that keep every round unpredictable. The goal is simple: survive longer than everyone else and be the last player standing.

How items work

While a round is active, every living player gets a random item at regular intervals. The interval starts at 5 seconds and permanently drops to 3 seconds after 3 minutes — so the chaos only intensifies the longer a round runs. Items come from the full pool of Minecraft materials; if your inventory is full, the item simply drops on the ground next to you. Each item you receive also gives you +1 EXP for the round.

Since what you get is random, every round plays out differently. Sizing up an item quickly, equipping or crafting what's useful right away, and using blocks for cover or traps usually matters more than any single item you happen to roll.

Chaos events

The first chaos event starts randomly 30–60 seconds into the round, and another is scheduled the same way after each one ends. A bossbar shows the active event's name and remaining time.

EventDurationEffect
I Believe I Can Fly4 secondsAll living players get Levitation.
ShuffleInstantLiving players' inventories get shuffled between them.
Full LifeInstantAll living players are fully healed.
StuckInstantA cobweb is placed at each living player's feet, if there's space for it.
Tank10 secondsAll living players get Resistance.
Hide and Seek5 secondsAll living players turn invisible.
Double is Better20 secondsPlayers receive double items per item drop.

A few of these are worth watching for: Shuffle means you can't rely on important items staying in the same slot, Full Life lets aggressive players heal up mid-fight, and Hide and Seek means you'll need to track players by sound and particles instead of sight.

Combat

PvP is active throughout the round. A couple of damage sources are toned down to keep fights from ending too abruptly: player-caused fireball damage is reduced to a quarter, and player-caused TNT damage is halved.

Rewards

Tips

  • Equip or craft useful items the moment you get them — holding onto unidentified loot too long just wastes inventory space.
  • Save offensive items for surprise attacks rather than using them the instant you get them.
  • Watch the bossbar for active chaos events and adjust your plan immediately — fighting through a Tank event, for example, takes much longer than usual.
