SMP & Network Update Recap

We've been shipping a lot of updates over the past weeks — SMP is fully live, Duels got a full rework, ItemChaos got random events, and the network is now on 1.21.10. This post catches everything up in one place.

  • SMP Is Live — Classic survival with economy, jobs, quests, crates, ME-Storage, land claims, and a full progression ecosystem.
  • Duels Reworked — MLGRush is now a ladder inside the new Duels mode, joined by Aura, Sumo, and a new KitPvP experience.
  • ItemChaos Events — Random events now trigger every 30–60 seconds, keeping every round fresh and unpredictable.
  • Network on 1.21.10 — The entire network has been updated to 1.21.10, with full backwards compatibility from 1.8 onwards.

A Quick Word First

Over the last weeks and months, we've shipped a lot of updates to Dyhntastic — especially on SMP — but we didn't keep the website as up to date as we'd planned. This post catches everything up in one place and gives you a clear overview of what changed recently across SMP, Duels, ItemChaos, and the network.

SMP — Survival with Systems, Quality of Life & Community

Our SMP is now fully live on Dyhntastic — classic survival, but with a full set of systems designed to support long-term play and community projects.

Core SMP Features

  • ChestShops & AdminShop — player-run shops plus a central admin market
  • Economy System & Bank — earn, spend, and manage money including a bank balance
  • Job System — pick a job and earn for playing the way you like
  • PlayerWarps — community warp points for bases, farms, shops, and more
  • Auction House — trade valuable or rare items with other players
  • Random Teleport — find new spots to build and explore
  • Storage & Delivery Systems — long-term storage and a safe way to receive items
  • TPA System — request teleports between players
  • Custom Items & Perks — unique items and long-term perks to unlock
  • Kits — starting and utility kits to help you get going
  • Elevators — place a carpet on a redstone block to create an elevator floor; stack multiple floors to move vertically

Land Claims

  • /claim <radius> — create a claim around your position
  • /extendclaim <blocks> — expand your claim
  • /trust <player> — allow someone to build inside your claim
  • /containertrust <player> — allow chest access only
  • /accesstrust <player> — allow doors, buttons, etc.
  • /untrust, /trustlist, /claimslist — manage and view access
  • /trapped — escape safely if you're stuck inside a claim

SMP Menu & Quality-of-Life Improvements

The SMP Menu item can now be freely moved in your inventory, cannot be sold or used in shops, and /smp will automatically fix missing or duplicated menu items. Quick-access commands include /storage, /deliveries, and /tpbypass for unsafe teleports when needed.

Quests, Economy & Transactions

The Quest System has been added and reworked for better balance and clarity — complete quests to earn money and progress naturally. Use /quests to browse what's available.

Selling is now smarter: items sell based on remaining durability, enchantments can increase value (with a cap), and curses reduce it. Use /worth while holding an item to check its value before selling. All economy actions are now fully logged — view your history anytime with /transaction.

Rollbacks & Teleport Safety

  • Automatic rollback points are created on teleport, death, and disconnect
  • Staff can restore inventories from these points when something goes wrong
  • Teleports are cancelled if you take damage during the countdown — no more teleporting into danger

Crate System

SMP now has a full crate ecosystem with multiple crate types — Vote, Enchant, Builder, and more. Crates are placed as physical containers in the world. Use the matching key and right-click to open one, complete with a rolling animation and clear reward messaging.

Left-click any crate to preview all possible rewards and their real drop chances. Voting now rewards 1 Vote Crate Key per vote — if your inventory is full, keys are delivered via the Delivery System so you never lose them.

ME-Storage System

A custom ME-Storage System makes bulk storage fast. Craft an ME Controller and connect up to 150 chests around it — they all become one network. Use the controller GUI to search, sort, and withdraw items across the entire network.

Shulker auto-import: place a filled shulker next to the controller and close it — items are pulled in automatically. Left-click to take 1 item, shift-click to take up to a stack.

Dynamic Admin Shop & Player Trading

The Admin Shop has been rebuilt as a supply and demand system. Every item now shows visible stock — buying reduces it, and prices shift based on demand. Low stock means higher prices; high stock brings them down slightly. Stocks refill toward defaults over time to keep the shop healthy.

Direct player trading is now live: use /pay <player> <amount> to send money instantly — useful for player shops, services, and deals. Double-check names and amounts before sending, as there is no undo.

Auto-Restart

SMP now restarts automatically every day to stay stable and lag-free. Use /restarttime to see when the next restart is so you can plan around it.

Duels — Reworked PvP Hub

The old standalone MLGRush mode has been fully retired. In its place, a new Duels mode now brings together MLGRush, Aura, and Sumo under one roof — all old MLGRush stats have been migrated into the MLGRush ladder, so progress is preserved.

KitPvP has been added to Duels as well — pick from pre-built kits and jump into fast-paced matches. Spectators now see a live match scoreboard with round, score, and map info, and invisibility bugs after leaving spectator mode have been fixed.

ItemChaos — Random Events

ItemChaos is now more dynamic than ever. Random events trigger every 30–60 seconds, adding short impactful effects that keep every round fresh and unpredictable.

Network Version Updates

The network has moved forward in two major steps: first to 1.21.8 with support for new items, blocks, and mechanics, and then to 1.21.10, bringing better support for the latest Minecraft features, internal performance improvements, and a more solid foundation for future content.

Full backwards compatibility from 1.8 to 1.21.10 (Java) is maintained throughout.
