2025 — A Year in Review
2025 was one of the biggest years for Dyhntastic.net so far. Our focus across the network was on three core priorities: modernizing the technical foundation, expanding accessibility with cross-platform support, and shipping meaningful gameplay systems that make progression, economy, and quality of life feel stronger in every mode — especially on SMP.
Network & Version Upgrades
Throughout the year, the network went through multiple major version milestones — 1.21.4, then 1.21.8, and finally 1.21.10 by the end of the year. At every step, broad plugin upgrades and backend optimizations came along with them.
Importantly, we maintained Java client compatibility from 1.8 up to 1.21.10, so no one gets left behind. These upgrades weren't just about version numbers — they improved the foundations to roll out features faster and keep gameplay consistent across the network.
Bedrock Support (BETA)
Bedrock players can now join the network. Connect via bedrock.dyhntastic.net on port 19132. Bedrock UUIDs are properly supported across all gamemodes, so progression, tracking, and core systems stay compatible across platforms.
Website Improvements
We invested in making the website a better companion to the network. This included a redesigned Stats page with improved search, sorting, and pagination, and a redesigned Clans page for easier browsing of roles and members. Stat coverage was also expanded for newer content like ItemChaos.
SMP — A Full Progression Ecosystem
SMP wasn't a single release in 2025 — it became a full system that kept growing throughout the year. The goal was always classic survival gameplay, paired with modern quality of life, strong economy tools, meaningful progression loops, and safety systems that protect both players and staff.
Core SMP Systems
- Economy & Bank supporting both active play and long-term progression
- SMP Menu with moveable item, shop-proof locking, auto-fix for missing or duplicate items, and /smp always available as a fallback
- Direct access commands: /storage, /deliveries, /tpbypass for daily convenience
- Quest System reworked for clarity, balance, and independent coin/EXP generation
- Level System overhauled — early levels more challenging, mid/late progression smoother
- Durability & enchantment-aware selling — items sell proportionally to remaining durability; enchantments raise value, curses reduce it
- /worth — check an item's value before selling for full transparency
- Transactions System — full economy history viewable with /transaction
Crates & Voting
- Multiple crate types: Vote, Enchant, Builder, and more — placed as physical containers in the world
- Rolling animation and clear reward messaging on every open
- Preview GUI — view all possible rewards and real drop chances without needing a key
- 1 vote = 1 Vote Crate Key, with delivery fallback if your inventory is full
Stability & Safety Systems
- Auto-restart system to reduce long-session lag — check next restart with /restarttime
- Rollback System — inventory restore points created automatically on teleport, death, and disconnect
- Teleport safety — active teleports cancel if you take damage, preventing teleport-into-danger situations
ME-Storage System
One of the biggest quality-of-life additions of the year: a full ME-Storage System built around a controller connected to up to 150 chests. One clean GUI to browse, search, sort, and withdraw items. Shulker auto-import lets you place a filled shulker next to the controller and items go straight in. Left-click takes 1, shift-click takes a full stack.
Dynamic Admin Shop & Player Trading
Late 2025 transformed the economy into something that behaves like a real market. The Admin Shop was rebuilt with visible per-item stock — buying reduces stock, and prices shift dynamically based on supply and demand. Stocks refill toward defaults to keep the shop healthy.
On top of that, direct player trading arrived: use /pay <player> <amount> to send money directly — designed for player shops, contracts, and community-driven trade.
Gamemodes & Network Updates
While SMP was the biggest growth area, every corner of the network saw meaningful updates in 2025.
Duels
MLGRush was retired as a standalone mode and migrated into Duels as a ladder — all stats were preserved. KitPvP was added to Duels, expanding the mode lineup further. Spectator fixes were also shipped: the live duel scoreboard now displays correctly for spectators, and invisibility bugs after leaving spectator mode or rejoining have been resolved.
ItemChaos
ItemChaos launched as a new fast-paced and unpredictable mode. It was later enhanced with random events triggering every 30–60 seconds, keeping every round dynamic. Website stat tracking was expanded to cover ItemChaos, including wins, kills, losses, blocks placed, and items received.
BedWars
BedWars received the new map Switch (available for 8x1 and 8x2). The in-game shop was improved with adjusted prices and a new Quickshop for faster purchasing. A Revive System was also introduced — teammates can be revived up to 3 minutes after leaving, as long as the team is still alive and the bed still exists.
SkyWars
SkyWars got a new map: Cookies. Multiple bugs around spectator items and consistent spectator behavior were fixed across the mode.
Lobby
Two new interactive gadgets were added to the lobby: Mining Pickaxe and Farming Axe. Both are designed to earn coins and EXP through simple interactive loops with timed regeneration.
