Builder for Minecraft Maps and Server Projects
As a Builder in the Building team, you create new maps, lobbies, areas and visual environments for our Minecraft network. You work closely with Content and Development so that new game modes and features not only function technically but also feel good to play and look consistent.
This role is about more than placing blocks. We are looking for builders who understand atmosphere, gameplay flow, proportions, usability and clean execution, and who can turn ideas into maps that support the actual player experience.
Responsibilities
- Building new maps, lobbies, arenas, spawn areas and decorative server environments
- Creating builds that match the theme, gameplay requirements and technical limitations of a project
- Working with Content and Development on layouts for new game modes, features and events
- Improving existing maps based on feedback, gameplay tests and visual quality standards
- Keeping builds structured and maintainable for later changes
- Contributing ideas for map concepts, themes, details, player guidance and atmosphere
What you should bring
- You are at least 14 years old
- You work reliably, independently and responsibly on projects
- You communicate openly, respectfully and solution-oriented
- You have good German skills and can communicate clearly within the team
- You have an eye for aesthetics, proportions, colour concepts and coherent design
- You have experience with map creation and construction in Minecraft
- You are creative and willing to invest time regularly and accept constructive feedback
Nice to have
- Experience with tools such as WorldEdit, FAWE, VoxelSniper, Axiom or WorldPainter
- Experience with server maps, minigame maps, lobbies, terrain, interiors or organic builds
- Understanding of gameplay-focused map design, player paths, readability and fair layouts
- Experience working with other builders, developers or content creators
Your application
Your application should be written as a continuous text and contain at least 250 words. Include your motivation, previous building experience, availability, strengths and weaknesses and preferred building styles. Add references that clearly show your own builds. If a reference comes from a team project, explain which parts were built by you.
