As a Content Engineer, you develop new ideas for Dyhntastic and turn them into clear, actionable concepts for our Minecraft network. You work closely with our developers and help transform ideas for game modes, features, events and systems into structured requirements that can actually be implemented.

Your responsibilities

  • Create concepts for new game modes, server features, events, quests, economy systems, balancing, cosmetics and other gameplay content.
  • Document ideas in a structured way, including goals, player flow, rules, edge cases, rewards, balancing notes and technical requirements.
  • Improve existing concepts and content based on feedback from the team and the community.
  • Coordinate with developers, builders and team members so that concepts are understandable, realistic and useful for implementation.
  • Think through how features affect players, gameplay quality, fairness and long-term server activity.

Requirements

  • You are at least 16 years old and ready to take responsibility for your own tasks and concepts.
  • You can work independently, stay objective and communicate clearly in a team.
  • You speak German confidently. English is helpful, but German is required for internal communication.
  • You have already written your own concepts or are able to explain ideas in a structured and understandable way.
  • You have a good eye for aesthetics, layouts, colour concepts and how content should feel to players.
  • You have basic experience with word processing or documentation tools.
  • You are creative, open to feedback and willing to think outside the box.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Minecraft servers, minigames, citybuild, economy systems, events or community projects.
  • Knowledge of basic game design, balancing, player motivation or progression systems.
  • Experience with mockups, diagrams, tables, spreadsheets or structured documentation.
  • Understanding of what is technically realistic in Minecraft server development.

Your application

Your application should be structured, convincing and written in continuous text. Please tell us who you are, what experience you have, which concepts or content ideas you have already worked on, what your strengths and weaknesses are, how much time you can invest and what you expect from working with us. A complete application should contain at least 300 words.
